We are looking for a junior Java developer who strives for quality when bringing true value and an exceptional user experience to our customers to join our On-Premises tribe at SWIFT, the tribe developing on-premises server applications that connect businesses to financial networks.
Based in Belgium, you will be working as a member of a dynamic team that is responsible for end-to-end delivery – from customer engagement to operations. What to expect · You will design, develop, test (including automated integration and regression) and integrate new features, components and improvements to our instant messaging connectivity solution (Alliance Gateway Instant). · You will use a range of proven technologies (Java 11, Docker, Microservices, Spring Boot, gRPC) with lots of room for experimentation to bring true value to our customers. · You will have the opportunity to be and develop yourself and others as software engineers covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects · You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across 3 continents What will make you successful?

Technical skills · Expertise with Java 8 or 11 programming language · Knowledge about popular Java frameworks (e.g. Spring, Spring Boot). · Knowledge of modern java development tools: maven, git · Knowledge of Linux OS · Any experience with one or several items listed below is considered as a plus: · Container technologies & container orchestration (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes,…). · API-driven architectures (Open API, REST, …) · Security aspects in software design and development · Security related technologies (PKI, TLS…) · Messaging middleware (IBM MQ, Active MQ, …) · Continuous delivery process and technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible). |
